The two-day event brought together around 300 mid-career researchers from across Wellcome\u2019s Discovery Research portfolio, representing a wide range of disciplines, research areas and geographical contexts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The meeting provided an opportunity for researchers at a similar career stage to share their work and experiences, learn from one another and develop new connections. Through collaborative sessions, workshops and cross-disciplinary networking, participants explored research practice alongside wider questions of leadership and career development, including the opportunities and challenges involved in becoming an established research leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme also encouraged researchers to make connections beyond their own disciplines, exchange different perspectives and identify areas of shared interest that could lead to future conversations and collaborations.
